Quality of Life Report Shows Discrimination Rates are High

As per United Ways Quality of Life Report, its stated the region has experienced the most frequent rates of discrimination, mainly seen at the workplace.... The report says Indigenous peoples are the most likely to experience discrimination across Perth and Huron counties. In the three years before the 2021 survey, 81 per cent of Indigenous people, 68 per cent of immigrants and visible minorities with 49 per cent of white people who are not immigrants have reported discrimination....

Snow Trails Slowly Opening Locally

With snow on the ground many are looking towards their snowmobiles and gearing up for rides once again. The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs is reminding riders to be safe with out on any trials which have opened up which as far as local is concerned is still very limited.  As it stands There are not any open trials locally at this time....

Snowmobiler Prepares To Break Record At Full Throttle Motor Speedway

A snowmobiler is gearing up to break the world record for longest distance travelled in 24 hours. Lisa Whiteman from Elmvale says she plans to try to break the current women’s record of 1,019 miles or 1,639 kilometres on a snowmobile. She says a track has been laid out, which will includes GPS tracking and video of her ride. It begins at 10 a.m. Feb. 17....
