| Wingham ED closure expanded due to Nursing Staff Challenges 09/01/2023 The Wingham & District Hospital Emergency Department saw its temporary closure expanded late Friday due to the ongoing nursing staff challenges. The Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance closed the ED at 1pm today as opposed to 5pm as previously announced. The weekend closure was also expanded with it closing Saturday, September 2nd at 5pm and now not re-opening until Monday, September 4th at 7am.
