| Well Water Testing Continuing Over Christmas with Minor Changes 12/15/2023 The Well Water Testing service will remain available for residents over the holiday season, though there will be some changes for local sample drop off and pick up. Grey Bruce Public Health says the service will operate as usual from December 18-22nd with a courier picking up samples each day in both Walkerton and Owen Sound. | Housing Prices Leap in Grey-Bruce-Owen Sound 12/15/2023 It was a slight increase in home sales according to the Grey-Bruce-Owen Sound Realtors Association with 152 units sold, a jump of 16 per cent from the same time last year. | Kincardine Council Hears Smart Beach Update From Municipal Innovation Council 12/15/2023 Kincardine council received an update on new technology being used to get real-time information on rip currents from the Smart Beach project. Dr. Chris Houser from the Municipal Innovation Council.... says that studying and modelling the current is essential for preventing injuries and deaths related to rough surf, particularly since most beaches on the Great Lakes don’t have lifeguards....
