| Durham ED closure cancelled for next Tuesday, August 8th but set to close for Weekend this Afternoon at 5pm 08/04/2023 The South Bruce Grey Health Centre have updated the temporary closures dates for the Emergency Department at the Durham Hospital. It will now see the ED remain open on Tuesday August 8th. It previously was set to close that day from 5 am to 7pm. | 161st Emancipation Festival In Owen Sound This Weekend 08/04/2023 Owen Sound’s 161st emancipation festival & picnic is set to be held this weekend. Festival vice chair Bruce Johnson says there will be a speaker’s event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday evening at Grey Roots Museum and Archives as part of the longest running Emancipation Day festival in North America.... The annual emancipation festival and picnic will go Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Harrison Park. Johnson says there will be music, food and other activities. It’s free and everyone is welcome....
